Probation Violation

In September 2007, the Department of Corrections took Patricia back into custody for probation violations, technically because she defied her probation officer by attempting suicide .

At the first hearing in October 2007, Patricia's Public Defender raised the issue of her competence, stating that she was unable to partake in her own defense. Judge Murdoch ordered an evaluation.

This led to a series of hearing over the last year where nothing happened as it took a full year to complete the evaluation.

In September 2008 Judge Murdoch declared Patricia mentally incompetent, noting that this might be the first case in New Mexico history where a defendant was named incompetent after conviction and serving several years in jail.

As Patricia geared up for this, she apparently had a fall out with her alleged father Joe Sanders . She wrote our oldest son Glen twice in September stating that Sanders intended to kill Glen, Jessica and Montie, and myself.

She also remarried from jail to a gentleman with a checkered background.

The Albuquerque Journal  ran a story about Glen on December 1, 2008. This led to Channel 7 interviewing me and running stories on December 1 and 2 in anticipation of Patricia's hearing on December 3.
