The Duluth Model is a controversial  method of looking at the behavior and causes for Domestic Violence. Although it has limitations I found it useful in understanding Patricia when I encountered the model in 1993.

Judge Ann Kass, our first divorce judge has a series of articles on the divorce process. I believe Kass is a perfect example of someone with good intentions corrupted by power. For example in one of the articles she talks about never encountering a 'good' parent vs. a 'bad' parent. She did not realize the lawyers have no interest in telling the judges any more then they want. Look at the January 15, 2003 hearing called by GAL Romero to complain about the outrageous actions undertaking by Patricia resulting in the GAL and State moving the kids in with me (see "How the Children Came to Live With Their Father". Listening to that hearing, one realizes Judge Jewell was told nothing, nothing.
