Court Hearings

2004

Patricia filed for Divorce in February of 2002. Between her filing and our Final Decree in December of 2004 we averaged a hearing a month. We spent time in Family Court, Domestic Violence, Civil, Bankruptcy and finally Criminal. The majority of hearings were recorded and are public record.

February 9, 2004

I will never forget the expression on Judge Jewell's face when I told her about Patricia's arrest and the reason for it. A few weeks earlier I encountered Judge Jewell in the elevator and told her how well visits were going and how I thought we were on track.

What I demanded from the system and the system was unwilling to provide was to allow the one person with the knowledge as to what was best for the family to make the decisions for the family -- me

This was out last formal hearing before Judge Jewell. Eventually I filed a motion for summary judgment on the property settlement. Patricia claimed heart problems before the hearing started so Judge Jewell ruled on my motion and Patricia's response.  In addition to Child Support , Patricia owed me another twenty thousand dollars.

Hearings continued with different parties in Domestic Violence Court and in Criminal Court.
